The Laguna Churup is one of the most famous and spectacular hikes near Huaraz, known for its turquoise-colored waters and stunning views of the Cordillera Blanca. This tour takes us to the Pitec, the starting point of the trek, from where we will ascend along a mountain trail surrounded by high-Andean landscapes until reaching the lagoon.

During the hike, you will enjoy natural viewpoints, fresh mountain air, and panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and valleys. The trek includes some more demanding sections (depending on physical condition), making it ideal for travelers seeking an adventurous one-day experience. Upon arrival, you will have free time to rest, take photos, and admire the scenery before starting the descent and return to Huaraz.

  • 08:00 – 08:30 a.mHotel pickup (Huaraz) and departure to the Pitec area
  • 09:00 a.m. Arrival at Pitec (starting point of the trekking) and preparation for the hike
  • 09:30 a.m. Start of the trek toward Laguna Churup (ascenso gradual)
  • 11:30 a.m. Approximate arrival at the lagoon and free time to rest, take photos, and enjoy the scenery
  • 12:30 p.m. Return toward Pitec (descent)
  • 02:30 p.m. Approximate arrival at the vehicle and return to Huaraz
  • 03:30 – 04:00 p.m. Estimated return to the city
